I can't believe it has been nearly two years since I've updated this. I've been busily working on the house, and documenting it with pictures, but found it was faster to load them to flickr. Please check them out here!

In the beginning....TisaWee Cabin is being born...

The house is finally starting. What a rough start! I spent the entire winter agonizing over a floor plan, and then decided to just DO SOMETHING. The basement is being poured....I've hired that done. I'm not sure I'd do that again, however, just because I really don't have much control over the finished product. I guess I'm pretty fussy about stuff....the owner accused me of "micro-managing" him. He said I was being overly critical when I complained about the window frames being put in upside down, three inches off from the blueprints and out of square, my well casing being hit by their dozer and busted all to heck, and a four-inch hole drilled in the wrong place (not even the right wall!). Go figure. When it is all done, you'll never notice any of this, but the "in-the-meantime" is giving me ulcers!
